Use this truck profit calculator to estimate trip economics after entering freight income and expected costs. It gives a fuller trip breakdown: total expenses, net profit, profit per kilometre and margin. Enter loaded distance and any empty return distance so the estimate includes fuel used on the return leg.
This estimate uses only the values entered. Monthly or annual ownership costs such as EMI, insurance and permits are not automatically included; allocate a fair share to the trip if you want them reflected.
Worked example (illustrative inputs, not a current diesel-price claim): freight revenue = ₹40,000; loaded distance = 700 km; empty return = 100 km; mileage = 4 km/l; diesel price = ₹95/l.
Freight income, loaded distance, empty return distance, truck mileage, diesel price, toll, driver bata or salary, loading/unloading, maintenance allocation and other trip expenses all affect the estimate.
An empty truck still consumes diesel and adds distance even though no freight revenue is earned for that portion of the trip. Use the Empty Return Impact result above to see the fuel-only estimate.
